MISSION

To conduct audits professionally and provide independent opinions to enhance financial management governance.

OBJECTIVES

Audits are conducted to ensure that all government school and government aid Annual Financial Statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the effectiveness of financial controls.

FUNCTIONS

• Examine and verify the accuracy of financial statements of all government schools and government aid.

• Determine whether financial management and controls in government schools and government aid are conducted well, organized, updated, and comply with established financial regulations and procedures.

• Provide opinions on whether the financial statements prepared reflect the true and fair financial position of the schools.

• Conduct special audits or further investigations into complaints related to weaknesses and non-compliance in school financial management upon the direction of the Minister, Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Auditor General, and other relevant parties from time to time.

CUSTOMER CHARTER

• Issue Audit Certificates for the Audited School Financial Statements that have been completed.

• Issue Audit Reports on school financial management after the audit is completed, raising Audit findings and providing conclusions and recommendations to assist schools in taking corrective and improvement actions.

• Issue Special Reports or Complaint Reports with recommendations after investigations are completed.

• Collaborate with the State Education Department/Institut Aminuddin Baki to conduct lectures/courses/training/workshops in the field of accounting and financial management.
