MISSION

Enhancing the Quality of Education Assessment System to Develop Individual Potentials for Well-being.

OBJECTIVES

• To design, construct, and produce all types and forms of educational testing and measurement based on the National Education Philosophy.
• To control, coordinate, and manage all school-based assessments and evaluations, central examinations and assessments, and foreign examinations that are not conflicting with government policies and national interests.
• To provide assistance, advice, and consultancy services on the National Examination and Assessment System and the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE).

FUNCTIONS

• To advise, monitor, and analyze school-based assessment.
• To manage all examinations in accordance with regulations, guidelines, and directives related to examinations.
• To conduct examinations, monitor enforcement, and implement regulations, guidelines, and directives related to examinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To formulate educational testing and measurement policies based on the National Education Philosophy and curriculum goals.
• To formulate specifications for all forms of educational testing and measurement, their administration methods, reporting formats, and quality control of measurement tools.
• To formulate testing and measurement tools and marking methods to assess students based on the curriculum.
• To coordinate, produce, print, and distribute measurement tools.
• To control and manage public and foreign examinations.
• To process candidate entries and data, issue results and certificates, and analyze statistics.
• To conduct research to enhance the quality of educational testing and measurement and validate standards.
• To manage assistance, advice, and consultations related to educational assessment.
• To grant approval to any educational institution to conduct/manage examinations, conduct examination monitoring, and enforce examination regulations, guidelines, and directives.

CUSTOMER CHARTER

The Examination Board is responsible for efficiently, smoothly, and safely conducting examinations. To achieve this, we pledge to:

• Assess candidates' performance fairly and accurately through valid and reliable testing and measurement tools based on the curriculum and the National Education Philosophy;
• Provide sufficient and secure question papers according to the examination schedule;
• Provide a complete and equitable examination facility for all candidates;
• Release valid examination results within four months and certificates within six months after examination results;
• Provide candidates the opportunity to appeal for result review and respond within three months;
• Offer friendly services and assistance related to examinations; and
• Enhance examination management that is safe, efficient, effective, advanced, dynamic, and based on continuous improvement.
